A perfect match

My husband and I are a perfect match: he is a sailor and I am a sleeper.

While he is happy to spend days monitoring weather, pulling ropes and tweaking sails for ultimate knottage, I am happy to spend them catching  up on sleep.

He finds the open water and simplicity of life at sea alluring. I find the gentle rocking, salty air and sun glow on my face sedating.

A couple a times a day I manage to rise briefly from my slumber to give some attention to my second best at-sea love: coffee. With greener cleaner coffee pod options now available (creating waste that pollutes the sea, while at sea — no thanks) we can enjoy a ‘real’ coffee while bobbing along in the big blue, and simply pop the rubbish into the compost or green waste bin when we’re back on land.
