A new hobby for many Australians

Years ago, before it went digital, my parents had a friend who was a trader on the ASX. One time he was suspended from work for bad behaviour. 

Now, having visited the ASX on a school excursion and seeing the “normal” behaviour on the trading floor, I wondered what on earth this guy could have done to go too far.

Times have changed and all Australians can now have a leisurely punt without getting involved in hunger games antics. 

In the couple of years it’s become easy for all of us to play trader - gone are high costs for each transaction through a bank ($20 each transaction - no thanks ) and you don’t need deep pockets to get started.

Give it a try! It’s a fun hobby, and a great way to learn more about Australian companies and give your support to the Australian economy too.
